French scientist Antony Henri Becquerel was the first to find that uranium spontaneously emits continuous light rays whose penetrability is much higher than that of normal light rays. Becquerel rays were first named after him. He observed that elements such as uranium, from which these rays are emitted, continue to decay until they become a completely new element, and Becquerel rays are also emitted. After Becquerel, the Marie-Curie couple carried out radiation research and discovered that, in addition to uranium, radium, polonium, thorium and actinium emitted similar strong and penetrating rays. Basically, we know these rays as radioactive rays.
