Does lemon water really lose weight? According to a report by the Indian media Hindustan Times, lemons contain enough vitamin C. This vitamin removes or detoxifies harmful substances from the body. But there are two more specialized organs for detoxifying the body. These are the liver and the other is the kidney.
The kidney’s filtration system removes harmful substances from the body. Indian nutritionist Batra reported the benefits of lemon water in that report. According to him, the idea that a particular drink removes harmful substances from the body is not correct. He said that lemon water reduces weight, there is not enough evidence in favor of it. Scientific research has not yet provided sufficient information in this regard. So it is not right to think that drinking lemon water will reduce weight.
But nutritionist Batra suggests several other drinks for weight loss. One of them is aloe vera juice. This sherbet is made by mixing aloe vera shells in water. Eating it every morning will help you lose weight quickly, said this nutritionist.
According to a report by the health website Healthline, lemon water can help you lose weight if you regularly consume it instead of high-calorie or sugary drinks. Drinking more water with or without lemon helps in weight loss. Essentially, lemons contain sufficient amounts of vitamin C. This vitamin removes or detoxifies harmful substances from the body.
Lemon water is very low in calories. For this reason, if you can drink lemon water instead of soft drinks, then it is easier to lose weight.
Lemon can keep you hydrated. From carrying nutrients into cells to transporting waste from the body, drinking enough water to stay hydrated is an important component of health. Maintaining adequate hydration is essential for everything from regulating body temperature to improving physical performance.
One study found that keeping the body hydrated can increase fat breakdown and fat loss. Drinking lemon water can increase metabolism. Researchers suggest that good hydration increases the function of mitochondria, a type of organelle found in cells that help generate energy for the body. It helps in increasing digestion, which subsequently leads to weight loss.
