There are several reasons.
For example, as the night gets longer, the natural light stops coming inside the house after 5 pm, and the light does not come in before 6 am.
The angle of incidence of sunlight is high, so the brightness of sunlight is relatively low, so artificial lighting is needed more.
Sometimes there is fog, which also reduces the brightness of sunlight.
Light means fire – fire means heat and darkness means a cold feeling. In this way, the tortoise remembers an imaginary equation subconsciously. So it seems like more light.
The window is often closed due to the fear of wind. As a result, sunlight cannot enter.
