When you stop going to the gym, you don’t burn as much energy/calories as before. Hence, not exercising reduces your calorie requirement and slows down your metabolism.
You don’t burn calories/energy when you leave the gym. So the muscles don’t burn fat like before. Due to which the extra calories that cannot be burned are accumulated in the body as fat. And this is why you get fat.
