Hamas attacked Israel for four reasons
First: The first reason for Hamas’s military operation in Israel is Israel’s continued aggression and oppression of the people of Gaza. Israel’s total blockade of the Gaza Strip since 2007 has turned Gaza into the world’s largest open prison and plunged the people of the Strip into the worst humanitarian crisis in 16 years. In addition, Israeli forces have captured more than 6,000 Palestinians during this period, including hundreds of women and children, some of whom are in critical condition.
Second: The second reason for the military operation of Hamas in Israel is the betrayal of the United Nations and the major powers towards Palestine. In fact, Hamas attacks against Israel are related to the structural weakness of the world governance system. Because, the United Nations and the powerful forces in this organization are committed to creating a peace and secure environment for Palestine, but in reality it appears that they are working on behalf of the occupying Israel. US-led conspiratorial ‘Deal of the Century’ plan and attempts to normalize Arab countries’ relations with Israel are in fact proof of the one-sided support of major powers for Israel. The US government is leading the way in this and still supports Israel’s brutal massacre and destruction against Gaza in order to protect Israel’s interests. Because of this, the Palestinians are disappointed and forced to carry out the ‘Al-Aqsa Storm’ campaign against Israel because of the despicable role played by the United Nations and the big powers who talk about peace in Palestine.
Third: The third reason for Hamas’s military operation in Israel is the attempt to normalize the relations of Arab countries with this occupying power. In recent years, some Arab countries have moved toward normalizing relations with Israel, the occupier of Baytul Moqaddas, under pressure and mediation by the United States. In this regard, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Morocco and Sudan are the most advanced at the moment. Even Saudi Arabia’s normalization of relations with Israel went too far last month, as Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman himself acknowledged.
Normalizing relations with Israel means abandoning the Palestinians in the Arab world. But support for the Palestinian defense force was once seen as one of the sources of legitimacy for rulers in the Arab world. But now that Palestine’s position in the Arab world has become unimportant, Israel has taken this opportunity to completely eliminate the Palestinians. Because of this, the Palestinians have been forced to launch the ‘Al-Aqsa Storm’ campaign against Israel.
Fourth: The fourth reason for Hamas’s military operations in Israel is the desperation to achieve minimal peace. Palestinian resistance groups believe that there is no possibility of peace and that the only goal of the so-called peace efforts is to protect Israel’s interests. Israel has realized that Arab countries, major powers and the United Nations will not say a word against Israeli oppression. Shabli Telhami, a professor at the University of Maryland, said, “With no hope on the horizon, Hamas has been forced to attack Israel.” The prospect of an independent Palestinian state is far less likely now than it was a decade ago. Because there is a lot of frustration and there is no other way to solve the problem peacefully, the Palestinians have chosen the path of armed resistance.’
For these reasons, fighters from Hamas’ Al-Qassam Brigades decided to warn Israel of the consequences of continued violence by carrying out Operation Al-Aqsa Tufan, the largest military and intelligence defeat in Israeli history.
