The viscosity of the fluid due to which the relative velocities of the various layers within the fluid are hindered or tend to resist the velocity is called the viscosity of the fluid. Or, the behavior that causes the relative velocities of different layers of the fluid to be hindered is called viscosity.
Different fluids have different viscosities. For example, the viscosity of milk, oil and tar is not the same. Among them, tar has the highest viscosity, followed by oil and milk the lowest.
