A brutal war in Gaza, a prolonged and increasingly criminal policy could have suicidal consequences for Israel. It could even lead to the end of a strong Jewish state.
In fact, Israel’s well-planned genocide in Gaza in the name of self-defense will not make the country safe; Rather, it will create greater insecurity and instability in the region. Israel will be further cornered. The geographical region in which the country is located has always been unfavorable for the obese. This war has now created obstacles to their long-term survival.
It never occurred to me that Israel has a future in the Middle East unless it abandons colonialism and behaves like ten normal states.
For a brief period in the early 1990s, it even looked as if Israel might be trying to normalize. There was also a hint of change depending on the United States. They took an initiative to include the Palestinian and Arab states in the region in the peace process. Israel even promised to preserve the nations existence.
But every time their colonial appearance comes out. They have wasted thousands of opportunities to live peacefully with their neighbors by ending the occupation. Israeli diplomat Abba Eban once quipped, Israel never wastes an opportunity to waste an opportunity.
Instead of ending the occupation, Israel has expanded its colonial expansion project in Palestine. Jewish settlement grew steadily on land stolen from Palestine. Israel has built special bypass roads and other projects to reach these illegal settlements. They have implemented two types of systems there. Whatever is advanced is for the Jews, and whatever is underdeveloped is for the Palestinians.
One apartheid ended in South Africa, we saw the rise of another in Palestine.
Peace is lost under the shadow of colonialism. As a result Israel has become more and more fascist by the day. Even in the Law the Jews are shown as superior. This colonial rule rests on historic Palestine, stretching from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea. As a result, fanatical and extreme right-wing parties soon became powerful and took control of power. And they were replaced by Israel’s opportunistic Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. By forming a coalition government, Israel began to destroy its own institutions and completely negate the possibility of the Israelis and Palestinians living side by side in peace.
Having destroyed all possibilities of compromise, they have now planned to occupy the whole of Palestine. As part of this, Jewish settlements have been established by stealing Palestinian land in the occupied West Bank. Their goal is to force the Palestinians to leave the land. With incredible speed, they are establishing this illegal settlement in the world’s largest open prison called the West Bank. The Israelis are now so reckless that they are no longer making the false promises they made in the past to annex the West Bank to an independent-sovereign Palestinian state.
Then came October 7. It sent a stark message that colonialism could no longer be effective or sustained. The day also conveyed the message that they cannot throw away the key by blocking two million people. The Palestinians are trying to say that the root cause of the conflict must be found now. We have to find out why their lands were taken away, why they were occupied, why they were blocked.
But Netanyahu’s government naturally turned this tragedy into war. And the inhumanity of the Palestinians began to rise. Because Palestinians are not people—this propaganda will help him continue down the path of genocide. He called this war the war against Satan. Which means – this war is not only against Hamas; Rather against the Gazans. One by one, Israeli leaders, including the president, blamed all Palestinians for the horrific attack. They claimed that there are no innocent people in Gaza.
From the beginning of the war, the Israelis therefore resorted to vindictive and extreme sectarian behavior. They continue to wreak havoc in Gaza, showing thumbs up to basic human rights, humanitarian values and international law. Hospitals, schools, mosques, residential buildings are victims of Israel’s colonialist war. They are indiscriminately killing children, doctors, teachers, journalists, men and women, old people in the presence of the United States and their other western allies.
But foreign sectarians are unlikely to survive among the indigenous people of the region. Because the tribal people are more united against the bloodthirsty intruders than at any other time. No matter how much religion Israel invokes to justify its violent racist behavior, it will no longer help. The Creator does not authorize the killing of innocent children. Israel’s US and Western patrons should also not support the killing.
As public opinion in the West gradually turns against Israel, so too will the brutal leaders of the West change course. Their moral position may not change; But countries will seek to protect their interests in the wider Middle East. The position of France in demanding an end to the killing of children in Gaza proves that the position of the West is changing.
Israel has no better options after this ugly war. This is the last chance for the country to be rescued from the brink of destruction. They should stop the war and accept the two-state solution that US President Joe Biden is talking about. However, a two-state system is now impractical. They should at least adhere to the red line that the US has set for Gaza. The United States has voted against the reoccupation or genocide of Gaza and in favor of keeping the size of Gaza unchanged. Netanyahu and his bigoted coalition have not embraced the United States for a long time. They again ignored the US proposal. Both countries are suffering from this.
Long before the start of the war in Gaza, a famous Israeli journalist, Ari Savit, said that everyone knows that Israel will fall. Because they are on a destructive path. And last week, Ami Aylan, the former head of the Shin Bet intelligence agency, warned the government that war and settlements would destroy Israel. Both have written books about it.
Every violent invader of the world has fallen, from the Crusaders of ancient times. The only colonial state of this era is Israel. The fall of Israel is also inevitable. No matter how much Palestinian, Arab and Israeli blood is spilled, this power will not last.
This war in Gaza may be the beginning of the end. But not for the Palestinians. Just as South Africa’s bloodthirsty supremacist regime collapsed, so will Israel’s. Just waiting for time.
