Software: A computer contains specific programs and executable processes inside its memory. These programs are called ‘software’!
Application: Application is a type of software known as application software in computer memory, with the help of which the computer user can perform certain tasks or the computer itself can perform a task.
On the other hand software or system software is actually nothing but operating system. Both the computer and the user are used to communicate with each other
So an application is nothing but a software designed by the user.
For example
Windows 10 is my operating system i.e. Windows 10 is my system software.
And I have installed an application there called my Adobe Photoshop where I edit my images ie Adobe Photoshop is my application software.
That is, every application is a software in itself!
