A rocket is an unguided missile. It is fired from the launcher after marking the position of the specific target. A specific launch angle and trajectory is calculated and then launched. There are also guided rockets. Guided rockets have specific guidance kits. It follows either GPS, laser beam, or inertial navigation system to hit the target precisely. They are fire and forget means after firing it will hit the target. Cruise missiles also strike much like guided rockets. It also has its own laser beam reader, radar, or GPS. But its added advantage is that it has a longer range and can fly low to evade radar. And the ballistic missile is again launched somewhat like an unguided rocket and then hits the target after following the ballistic flight path. And the drone is usually connected to the operator through radio or satellite communication and the operator uses the drone’s camera to lock onto the target and then launch the missile or bomb.
