Seen to pick up water with clothes from the floor? Or seen mopping the floor?
There is water on the floor, a cloth absorbs the water, then the cloth is crushed/wrung out to remove the water.
For AC, the water is the heating of the house, the cloth is a kind of chemical, which is called refrigerant.
The refrigerant absorbs the heat, then the refrigerant is crushed/twisted to expel the heat from the refrigerant outside the room. A machine called ‘compressor’ works to compress/compress the refrigerant. As the name suggests, it compresses. By the way, the fridge works the same way.
Refrigerant is in liquid and gas state in different parts of AC. By absorbing heat, it becomes a gas, compressed in a compressor and becomes a liquid again.
