Everything we do every day, and everything we use has energy involved. Sometimes using energy, sometimes consuming energy, sometimes gaining energy. Eating food every day, from there we get energy. Again working, there we spend that earned energy. But how much energy do we have in this energy source? Are they infinite or limited? Both types of energy exist in nature. Which we know as renewable and non-renewable energy.

      Renewable energy
In simple words, the energy which can never run out or be exhausted from the energy source is called renewable energy. We have a very limited amount of renewable energy sources of this nature. Hydroelectricity, solar energy, wind energy, biofuels, and geothermal energy are examples.

      Non-renewable energy
The energy that will run out or be exhausted from the source of energy is called non-renewable energy. Most of our energy sources of this nature are non-renewable. Examples are natural gas, mineral resources, and nuclear power.

      Examples of non-renewable energy
      Mineral Energy

The largest source of energy in the world is oil, gas, or coal. Millions of years ago, plants were buried under the ground and took this form due to long-term heat and pressure. Coal, oil, and gas have to be extracted from the ground. The oil that comes from underground is called crude oil. Crude oil is very dense in its initial state. In refineries, they are refined into gasoline, diesel, or kerosene and more usable substances are released. It may seem that we are constantly receiving mineral oil, thus we will continue to receive this energies. But this power will end one day. So mineral energy is a non-renewable energy.

      Nuclear power

Many countries are using nuclear energy, there is also a need for a type of fuel, that fuel is uranium. Oil, Gas, Coal, or Uranium, these energies have one thing in common, when they are used, they are consumed. How much oil, gas, and coal is there under the ground, or how much uranium is there in the earth, people have guessed it. It has been seen that if the people of the world continue to use energy at the rate they are using, then the energy source of the world with oil, gas, coal or uranium will last for two hundred years. Then we will run out of known sources. The people of the world are not too worried about what will happen then, because people know for sure that something else will be brought out by using science and technology.

      Examples of renewable energy
      solar energy
You will be surprised to hear that in just one square kilometer area, nearly a thousand megawatts of energy is available from the sun as light and heat. Which is close to the power of a nuclear power plant. But a large part of the light and heat from the sun is lost in the atmosphere. Apart from that, the energy comes as heat or light, it has to go through many steps to convert into electricity. Where a huge amount of energy is consumed. Still, it is a very reliable power source. Because we will continue to get this energy from the sun. That is, this energy will not end. It is one of the renewable energy sources.

      Geothermal energy
Another important source of renewable energy is geothermal energy. As we go deeper into the earth’s surface, the temperature of that layer will continue to rise due to the pressure on its top. If it continues like this, due to the high pressure in a deep layer, all the material there turns into a molten lava-like material. When these elements inside our earth come out through volcanoes, we understand the existence of these elements. So if one can dig a few kilometers into the hole then one gets a huge source of heat energy. The process is not yet simple, so it is not widely used. In some places, due to their geography, where such power is easily available, they have started to be used. This is one example of renewable energy.

      Hydroelectric power
One-fifth of the world’s energy is renewable energy. A large part of that is hydropower. That is to make electricity by damming the river. Since the water of the river does not run out, the power source of such a power plant does not run out.
However, if the river is dammed, the environment will be greatly damaged. Because of that, the people of the world have become very cautious. Those who have little foresight do not build such hydroelectric plants.
